TTA is one of my favorite rides at Disney World! It’s a fun way to take a break, cool off, & see some neat things!
But my favorite Disney restaurant is a tie. I love Whispering Canyon because I love the atmosphere about it, and the food is really good! Especially the “all-you-can-eat family style dinner!” But I also love House of Blues at DTD because the food is really yummy and when they have concerts or music, it’s so much fun!

Since I have only been to Disney 1 time I don’t have much to go on. We did a character meal once each day we were there. The first was for my then 20 year old princess at heart at Akershus it was delicious, than we ate at the Garden Grill it was good as well, the Crystal Palace and last was Ohana’s Breakfast. Right now I say my favorite was Akershus but with the next trip in December that is subject to change. Thanks for the TTA info, I didn’t even know it was there but we won’t miss it next time.

Thanks for the great trip on the TTA…it was just as relaxing to watch as it is to ride. One of our must-do’s every trip!
Oh so many choices when it comes to favorite restaurants…which to choose. A new favorite is the Crystal Palace – great food, fun characters. We also love the Rose & Crown in Epcot…who can turn down a pint of Guinness?? Then, there’s Chef Mickey’s for breakfast…a really fun way to start a day.
That will do for now…but, I’m sure I’ll think of more after hitting ’send’.
Thanks for all you do, Rick! You are my (Disney) hero!!

Hi Rick, we like the lunch buffet at the Wilderness lodge. The way they brung out the meat platter and the cool yellin that goes on, it’s a fun atmosphere. We don’t utilize most of the sit down large resturants cuz it’s kind of $$$$. We do usually do 1 when we’re down there for the week. Thanks for this weeks episode. We always do the TTA. It is a very relaxing ride and a great way to look around and not have to pay attention of bumpimg into someone. Dave

Thanks Rick!! I love this ride……it is so relaxing and just a great way to take a scenic tour around Tomorrowland! I always hit The Lunching Pad on the way in though – need to grab a cream cheese filled pretzel and a slushie to make the ride complete. I almost like this ride better at night…when all the twinkle lights are on, the castle is glowing….picture perfect (and yes, I have the pictures to prove it!).
Favorite place to eat…hmmm….in a ‘relaxed setting’, I love Trail’s End Buffet in Fort Wilderness. Great food and hands down, one of the best values on Disney property if you are feeding a family. Aside from that, I love The Coral Reef in Epcot! Love just enjoying the steak while my husband devours the Alaskan King Crab! The views in the tank are just something you shouldn’t miss.
Can’t wait to see next week’s show!!

Hey Rick! This is one of our favorites!! The boys think it is sooooo cool when you go through Space Mountian and over Buzz. This is a great ride to go on when you need a rest or a break from the heat…nice little napping spot! LOL Colleen is right…riding it at night is the best especially when the castle is decorate for xmas!
As far as dining…California Grille is amazing and the view can’t be beat BUT we don’t usually go there as a family. My boys LOVE Sci Fi so that is a must each visit!! I LOVE Kona Cafe at the Poly!!!

I really enjoyed this show. The people mover is one of our family favorites. Thank you for sharing this video.

My favorite was in Cinderella’s Castle. Only went years ago, when our first child was little. As many times as we have been back to Disney, we have not made it back there to eat. My daughter was more fascinated in the ladies restroom because of the path you had to take getting to it. During the meal we had to make the trip three times. With children you never knew if it was a real necessity or they just wanted to go. Still the food was wonderful, and the atmosphere teriffic.

Rick,
Nice episode on the TTA. It is one of those things I just haven’t gotten to yet but always try to. So it was great to see on video. The other great thing about your videos are the sounds in the background, announcements etc. It gives you that pang and allows you to close your eyes momentarily and picture yourself at the World (even from chilly NY).
So far my favorite Disney restaurant would be the Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness lodge. If combines the casual food that my family loves with the kind of fun and spirit that can only be found at Disney because of the wonderful Cast Members.
Keep up the good work
Brian

I look forward to your episodes. I absolutely love WDW, and to be able to see these attractions “live” keeps me going until my next trip. I love the WEDWAY People Mover. I wish they would give it back it’s original name, as you said it was special to Walt. I am a nut for character meals, and I am far from being a kid. Since Eeyore is my favorite, I love the Crystal Palace. Thanks for all the great videos.

Hi Rick,
Loved being on the TTA ride again and it is true on long and hot days it is relaxing to take a trip on the TTA.
I do have a few great restaurants but one we do enjoy for lunch is the 50’s Prime Time you feel like your back in your Moms kitchen again and if your lucky to get a table with a TV you can see shows from the 50’s. You can even be entertained by the people who are taking your orders its great. Looking forward to your show next week.

Rick,
I’m looking forward to taking a trip on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority. I haven’t had the opportunity to ride it yet. It looks like it might be a great “down time” activity for our 2 year old.
I haven’t had a lot of dining experinces, but we did go to the Prime Time 50’s Cafe and really enjoyed it. We loved the atmosphere and the home-cooked meals. Just a real fun place for us.
Steve Rydzyk on February 28, 2009 at 12:36 pm
Hey Rick,
As you mentioned, the TTA is a great ride to sit back and relax, never a long line, and a great opportunity for a short nappy. My favorite restaurant has to be the Whispering Canyon…great food, fun place, and don’t ask for the ketchup. Second choice is a tie between Pecos Bill (great condiments) and Trails End Buffet (cheap $$). Thanks for the video!

Hi Rick!
Great ride! It is just my speed!!
One of my favorite dinning locations so far is Citrico’s at the Grand Floridian. I thought the atmosphere was really nice – it was spacious and the food was excellent. There are many places I enjoy for different reasons. I also like the California Grill. I think you may have heard of that place!! LOL
Thanks! Can’t wait to see the next one.

Hi Rick!
Great Ride.
One of our favorite dinning location is the Sci-fi dinner in Hollywood Studios. We like the drive in threater and the sci-fi movies that the show. The other favorite is Rainforest Cafe at Animal Kingdom we make reservations at both places every time we go to WDW.

We loved today’s trip on the TTA! My family loves this ride. We’re disappointed that it will be closed later this year due to the Space Mt rehab. Today TTA brought enjoyment, and many memories. Thanks! This is the first time we found this site, and we look forward to next week’s visit.

TTA is one of my favorite rides in MK, even if my kids make fun of my love for it! Thanks for the video, just like being there.
Our new favorite place to eat in the “World” is Yak & Yeti in AK. Ate there for the first time in January, everything we had was delicious, lettuce cups (yum), ribs (yum, yum), cream cheese won tons (yum, yum, yum). We also like the atmosphere, very authentic and relaxing.
Thanks for your videos, they put me on vacation every time I watch.
Elizabeth Batsios on February 28, 2009 at 3:05 pm
Love the TTA! I just found out it will be closed when we visit in June and I’m so sad. It’s one of my family’s favorites.
Our favorite restaurant is Chef Mickey’s. We love the atmosphere, character interaction, and the food! It’s the one restaurant we have always visited on each one of our trips.
Denise Ingold on February 28, 2009 at 3:38 pm
Hi Rick, We enjoy your show every week. Our favorite restaurant is Tusker House in th Africa Area of Animal Kingdom. The food is great and the characters are a lot of fun!

Thanks, Rick!
Our family loves the TTA–we always ride at least once when we visit The Magic Kingdom!
Our favorite restaurant is Le Cellier in the Canada Pavillion in EPCOT. We love how each area of the restaurant is themed to a different part of Canada and the server tells you a little about the area when they come to take your order. The food is terrific!! The Cheese Soup is a must on every visit.

Great video! It will have to give me my TTA fix as it appears the TTA will be down my next trip! So relaxing and fun! Gosh…favorite restaurant…Can I pick all of them?? LOL I have so many that we do every year…For the food, I would say Le Cellier at Epcot and for the atmosphere I would pick the 50’s Prime Time Cafe! I have great memories of both! 179 days till my next trip…Can’t wait! Lori J.
Jeanne Cundiff on February 28, 2009 at 8:55 pm
Hi Rick!
Thanks for the great video of the TTA! I had forgotten how many things you could see while you are on it.
Our Favorite place to eat during our trip in 2007 was the Club lounge at the Poly. I realize it is only available to concierge guests but it has the best desserts! There was something yummy to eat or drink all day long. If we can ever afford to go that route again we will!!
If you have time, I would love to see video of the Flights of Wonder show at AK. We missed it.
Thanks Again for starting your videos again,
Jeanne Cundiff

WEDWAY has always been one of my favorites! My husband rode it for the first time in December so he really enjoyed seeing it again this week.
We almost never eat at TS places, although we did do Boma this last trip (love those soups). Our newest favorite is actually the coffee bar at Morocco. The pastries are wonderful, especially the baklava, and the cafe au lait is simply the best we have ever had. Time it right and you can enjoy the music, story telling and belly dancer. Boy, could I go for a cup of that delicious coffee right now–and I’m normally a tea drinker.
Thanks for another great program, Rick!

Rick- I loved your show this week! I remember going around and around TTA before my 6 yr old was big enough to ride Space Mt. and him and I would do TTA and hubby and big kids did Space Mt. We love that ride! I truely am enjoying your shows each week and I cannot wait to go back to WDW this summer after almost a 2 yr break! Watching your show each week makes me feel like my trip is NOT that far away! THanks Again
My favorite restaurant hands down is O’Hanas. I love the atmosphere, the wood fire grilled meats and shrimp, the activities for my children- coconut races and hula hoop contests. And their salad with the lime dressing is to die for!YUM! It is ALWAYS a must for each trip! And the bonus is my 6 boys (and I have 1 girl) can eat as much as they want!LOL Sometimes it seems like their stomaches will never be satisfied, but here with their 3 foot skewers they are STUFFED when we leave!

Rick,
Very nice video this week. The WEDWAY Peoplemover (too bad the name was changed) is my favorite ride because of the variety of sights, as well as the connection to Walt.
I really enjoy The Crystal Palace character buffet because of the variety of food – not just your typical buffet. Something for each of the tastebuds: the kids, the exciting and the less adventurous. Everything is just delicious.
Kim Allmon on March 1, 2009 at 12:19 am
Rick – I really enjoy your videos and I especially loved this one from TTA! My oldest son and mother-in-law spent a day at the Magic Kingdom on January 25th and we rode on this 2 times…it’s one of my favorites and it seems as if it’s an often over-looked attraction in Tomorrowland. Thanks again!

Hi Rick, I too love the TTA. After a long dat rushing form attraction to attraction, it is really relaxing to just sit and enjoy the ride & looking around. For me I really love the Sci-Fi drive in. It reminds me when I was a kid and we all piled in the old station wagon to go and see the outdoor movies. We stll have on left and our now grown children still love to attend the drive-in movies. mark obren

My favorite restaurant is Boma. I love the atmosphere at Animal Kingdom Lodge. I really enjoy trying the different foods on the buffet. It is a fun, friendly, casual place. And you can get appetizer, main course, dessert and drink all for one reasonable price.

Hi Rick!
My family loves the TTA and I’m glad you put this up since it will be closed when I go in June:-( My favorite restaurant has to be Narcoossee’s at the GF. The food is out of this world and the Almond Crusted Cheesecake, well that is to good to describe.
Looking forward to another great epoisode!

Hi Rick,
I don’t remember riding on the TTA the last time I was at Disney World. I’m going to Disneyland in a couple of weeks–I’ll ride on it there. I haven’t been to Disneyland in 30 years. I’m looking forward to seeing it again. Every time I see a video or anything about Disney World it makes me feel that I can’t wait to go back to WDW. Now, about the question–my favorite restaurant at Disney World– I really enjoyed the dinning experience at the Sci-fi Dine in Theater at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Sitting in a car, watching old sci-fi movies while eating some really good food at a drive in theater. That was fun. The food was great!! My favorite food was at the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show at the Polynesian Resort. I still remember how savory the food tasted. I can’t wait to go back and have that meal again.

Rick, I love the videos. They’re my lifeline to sanity since I haven’t been able to get back to WDW in quite some time now, and I miss it. I always enjoy a relaxing spin on the TTA, because it’s the best way to be actively “doing something” while sitting down and relaxing.
My favorite resturant? That’s a toughie. I love the Food at Tony’s in Magic Kingdom, love the Sonny Eclypse show in Tomorrowland, and over at the Hollywood Studios I really enjoy the ambience of the Sci_Fi Diner. Actually any Disney eating place is themed so well with so many details it’s hard to pick just one.
Keep the great videos coming. I’d love to see videos of any of the updated attractions.
Cheryl Hayes on March 2, 2009 at 8:41 am
Rick, one of the best rides is the people mover as we still call it. We enjoy the nice relaxing ride. My favorite resturant Chef Mickey. We always have fun with the characters.
Debbie Bolen on March 2, 2009 at 10:33 am
Love the video’s Rick – they bring back so many wonderful memories. I had almost forgotten about TTA – rode it the 1st time I went to WDW, but haven’t been back on it since……..I’ve put it on my things-to-do next time.
My favorite resturant is Akershus in Borway – loved it when it was a buffet and then again after they went to the menu’s……Also top on my list is Rose & Crown and the Brown Derby……………..While the food is wonderful @ WDW – I usually only catch one sit down meal each time – too much to do to eat…….Unless I am there for the Food & Wine Festival – that is my FAVORITE event and food. I have introduced that to my husband and several friends that have absolutely loved it.
Karen Legee on March 2, 2009 at 1:09 pm
Hi Rick,
just watched the TTA video after shoveling snow. Thank you for another awesome video.
It’s tough to pick one favorite restaurant – we love the Crystal Palace for breakfast. Made to order pancakes, puffed french toast & Pooh & the gang! The only thing mising is my beloved Mickey!! We also love Coral Reef – good food(Chocolate Wave is fanatastic) & it’s great fun to watch the fish, sharks, turtles, etc. Another favorite is Rose & Crown – adult beverages, fish & chips, it’s all great. Can’t wait for our next trip. Keep up the good work.
Thank you!

I love thr Transit ride also…it is a great way to sit down for a breather and not chase an active 3 year old. LOL
Our favorite places to eat is Kona Cafe, Chef Mickey, Sci Fi and O’Hanas.

Hi Rick,
The TTA video was great. I love that ride. It’s A great way to relax and enjoy the atmosphere from above. We have two favorite restaurants. At Disneyland The Blue Bayou because it’s inside the attraction of Pirates of the Caribbean. They have great New Orleans food there. It brings my family back home for a short time that we’re there. We eat there at less 3 or 4 times a year. The second place is Sci Fi Diner Theather at Disney World. You could enjoy clips of old movies and seating in a car instead of a table. They have great food and they cover everyones favoite dish.
Thank you!

Hey Rick!
I remember when it used to be the Wedway People Mover a long time ago and instead of Buzz Lightyear’s Ranger Spin that you saw when you looked down from the TTA, If You Had Wings used to be there which is a ride I miss. My daughter loved this ride when we went in June of last year. She wanted to ride this again and again.
Anyway, my favorite restaurant in the Magic Kingdom happens to be the Columbia Harbor House. I love the seafood they serve and the music. Me and my little brother used to get up from the table and dance to the sailor-type music that played so that brings back memories. We were Goofy! And I just love the style of the place. It’s awesome.

Hi Rick. The TTA is one of our favorites to ride. It’s a time to relax and enjoy the surroundings. My favorite place to eat is 50’s Prime Time Cafe. I love the interaction. And the food isn’t bad either.

Hi Rick
You mentioned your son loves this ride so does my son we have been to disneyworld 8 times the last 6years and when we go to magic kingdom we can always find him there also i am enjoying your site
James Bond on April 22, 2009 at 9:28 am
You’re absolutely right about the TTA being a nice little break from the walking and the weather while still immersing yourself in the Disney magic.
Gosh, so many great places to eat in WDW. The character breakfast at the Crystal Palace is tasty. I love lunch at Casey’s Corner in the MK; grabbing a dog or two and a soda and sitting outside to people watch.
I am also a huge, huge fan of the Rainforest Cafe in AK and DTD. Happily, there’s one an hour from me is Edison, NJ, that I trek to a few times a year to recapture the feeling. It’s always a letdown when I walk out of the restaurant into a mall instead of the Animal Kingdom, though.
My absolute favorite place to eat, though, is Artist Point at the Wilderness Lodge. The Smoky Portabello Soup is so good I asked for (and got!) the recipe the last time I was there. The Cedar Plank Salmon is the best anywhere. And if you’re a wine fan, the Wine Feature Flight shouldn’t be missed. A little pricey, yes, but worth it!
