You did get it up early enough for me to watch!! Great show again!
My favortie Disney Video is a tie between Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. I love the mice in Cinderella, but I love the whole film in Sleeping Beauty. When I was living in East Tenneessee, I was fortunate to meet Mary Costa, the voice of Sleeping Beauty. She is a wonderful, elegant woman. So Charming! I worked part time at the Disney Outlet in Pigeon Forge (after teaching all day, it was a joy!) and she would visit us occassionally. And once, Disney did a fund raiser for ChildHelp USA in Knoxville and they had Ilene Woods and Mary Costa there! I was a Voluntear at that function, but had such a blast!!

Hi Rick
I have been watching some of your excellent videos in preparation for our first family holiday to Disneyworld this summer. We live in London so this a big deal for our two children. Thanks for the viewing suggestions for the firework displays. I will visit reguarly for more info. Oh, favourite Disney video, tough one, probably Dumbo. It was the first Disney film I remember seeing as a child. I also loved the aristocats, mostly for the music.

Rick,
Thanks for the movie on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad! Brings back memories from last year, where I probably rode it 3 times while at the park. It was so much fun. As for my favorite Disney movie, it’s hard to say, although I did just see that “Witch Mountain” movie and enjoyed it.
Keep up the good work!
Cheers,
Rick

This was my oldest daughter’s first rollercoaster ride. She was 5 at the time. I remember wondering how she would react to the coaster as the ride began. I looked at her, her long blonde hair whipping around her face…she was laughing so hard and her eyes were dancing!! Needless to say, she was hooked!!
My favorite Disney movie of all time is Bambi! I even had a rabbit named Thumper a few years ago!
Lori Blessner on March 27, 2009 at 7:42 am
After watching your video, I may now have the “courage” to ride Big Thunder. Not sure what I have been afraid of, looks like fun!
I thought I knew what my favorite Disney movie was, Mary Poppins, until you said Lion King, hmmmmm…
Amy on March 27, 2009 at 8:35 am
Ahhh, I love BTMRR! =) It was fun to watch, because I am able to see things in your videos that I miss when I am on the actual ride, due to the fact that I am too chicken to look anywhere but straight ahead! hahaha Also, I liked hearing the back story of this one. I don’t think I had heard it before, and it is interesting to know that the trains are ‘possessed’.
I have 2 favorite animated Disney movies – The Lion King and Mulan. I love them both for different reasons, and they both make me cry!
My favorite live action Disney movie is POTC (the first one). That is such a great movie, the music is wonderful, and Orlando Bloom is such a cutie! =)

Thanks again Rick for a great video, I can’t wait to ride Big Thunder when we go in December. My favorite Disney Movie that is really a hard question but I think it would have to be Cinderella. Look forward to next week

My favorite part of this ride is when you almost hit the top of the initial climb and the water is spraying down and the mountain is shaking and then you take off.
My favorite Disney movie is Beauty and the Beast. I think the animation of the Beast is amazing and it has some of the most humorous characters and side plots. I especially enjoy Cogsworth and Lumierre, especially the scene with Lumierre and the feather duster! So adorable! I also loved that Disney portartyed the female lead Belle as being smart and beautiful and opininated.
Thank you for your video this week!

Big Thunder was my first roller coaster when I was a little girl! So, it is one of my favorites! As far as movies- That is so hard!!!! I can’t pick just one… :-/
Susan Cramer on March 27, 2009 at 11:27 am
Wow, the first part of the ride gets real dark and moving fast. No wonder the little kids start screaming real loud. Are they told at the beginning of the ride about the wild trains on the mountain. Looks like a blast !

Hey, nice video blog. I love when I can find out something new that I didn’t already know about Disney attractions. (That’s getting harder and harder.)
My favorite Disney movie:Hmmm. I would have to say when I was a child, it was Peter Pan. As an adult, it’s Beauty and the Beast.
See you on Twitter.

Thanks for the ride on Big Thunder – it is one of my “Must Ride” every time I am in WDW. Really a cool ride at night too! I loved to hear the folk-lore behind it – puts a new twist on it.
My favorite Disney movie is hard to pick – there are so many and each pulls on my heart strings for different reasons………I guess one I will watch over and over is Monster, Inc. – Love Mike & Sculley – even Monsters melt at the sound a child laughing.
Keep up the great videos – I love them – they really make my week!
Karen Revis on March 27, 2009 at 1:28 pm
I love Big Thunder! 99 days from today till I am in Disney and I cannot wait for your video each week!

Rick,
Again, another wonderful video! Every time I watch one of your videos I get more excited about our trip!
My favorite Disney movie is Nemo. It is such a fun, colorful movie. Our 2-year-old daughter watched it every day until she got “hooked” on Tinkerbell!

Way to go, another great video. My favorite Disney movie would be Mary Poppins, I even had a doll of Mary Poppins when I was growing up. It came with a bag just like the one she carried, so you could put her in it and the clothes that came with her.
Carly Cundiff on March 27, 2009 at 8:09 pm
Hi Rick
I loved the video. I think that me favorite disney movie would be THE Incredibles. I Love how every person in my family can relate to someone in the movie.
Looking forward to next weeks video!
Carly Cundiff on March 27, 2009 at 8:29 pm
Hi Rick!
Now my daughter Carly is addicted to your great videos!! Loved seeing Thunder Mtn. It was closed for rehab when we visited in 2007 and I can’t wait to ride it someday. Carly’s might be The Incredibles but I love George of the Jungle for “real people” and Hercules for animated. There are so many great Disney movies it is hard to pick!
Thanks Rick?

Hey Rick,
Great video. My family and I love this ride. It is also great at night. I did not know the back story, pretty cool.
I like so many movies, although one tugs at my heart… Toy Story. We find it hard to get rid of any toys at our house and my boys are 12 and 17!
Thanks!!
Duane McCall on March 27, 2009 at 10:28 pm
I have some great memories of Big Thunder Mountain. It was the first Disney coaster I was able to take my daughter on 2 years ago. I have some great video of her and her mother while on the train.
My favorite Disney movie is Beauty and the Beast. I think Belle is the prettiest Princess. We had breakfeast at Cinderella’s Castle and I was not leaving until I got my picture taken with Belle. The picture is hanging above my fireplace in my family room.
Mark Nash on March 27, 2009 at 11:57 pm
Hi Rick, BTMRR is one of our favorite rides. Can’t tell you how many times we ride it! We have two fave movies (though it was a hard choice). Our favorite live action movie is Pirates of the Caribbean (first movie), and animated has to be Fantasia. Keep the videos coming!

Hi Rick. We love BTM. It is a great ride. My husband and I tricked our son the first time we went and manged to get him on the ride and he even enjoyed it and he doesn’t like roller coaster at all.
My favorite disney movie? Thats hard. There are to many great ones to have one favorite.
Thanks again and see you next week, Donna

My favorite movie is Alice in Wonderland, followed closely by Lady & the Tramp, Mary Poppins, & Fantasia.

Hey Rick,
Just remember…IT’S THE WILDEST RIDE IN THE WILDERNESS !!
Great video and I love the shirt. Favorite animated movie(s) comes down to Mulan and the not so ever popular Atlantis. Niether of them were huge hits but I thought they were really great. The other Disney movie (really a television show) I really enjoyed was the adventures of Davey Crockett. Fess Parker is a Disney Legend.

Really liked the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad video. It was one of our must do rides both times we have been to disney. I am hoping you will do a video of Expedition Everest at some point so my fiance can see the difference between the two, since we have been told the two rides are similiar and I know for a fact they are definately NOT. Anyway great job on the videos, keep ‘em coming.
BTW, my favorite disney movie is The Lion King followed by Cinderella.
Brian McCutcheon on March 29, 2009 at 11:30 am
Great video once again Rick!
I have the greatest memories of Big Thunder Mtn. RR. It is the first attraction that my 2 kids road ‘alone’ (me and Mom were behind them). The whole family loves the ride from the hanging rats to the views.
Favorite movie? Hmm While I have to echo one of the other posters views of The Incredibles as the ultimate family film, I think I have to go with Toy Story as my favorite.
A movie so good, sometimes you don’t realize it is animated.
Thanks.
Amanda Pryor on March 29, 2009 at 1:54 pm
Loved watching your blog. I just made my way over here from the Disboards. I love Thunder Mountain Railroad! Can’t wait to ride it again in May! I think my favorite Disney movie is Aladin. Can’t wait for the next video!!!
Amanda Hendrix on March 29, 2009 at 3:26 pm
Another great episode!! As for fav movie, it depends on who is asked in the family. My daughters is Ariel, my husbands is Lilo and Stitch (who wouldn’t love stitch??) My fav depends on what year it is, each new one released becomes the new one, lol….classics would definately be Robin Hood though, I love that fox! Live action would be POTC #1, newer ‘princess’ movie-Mulan, too hard to narrow down to just 1!!!
Candy Lewis on March 29, 2009 at 3:27 pm

I’m normally not a fan of roller coasters, but I did ride BTMR earlier this month with my son and I had a blast. Might even ride it again this June!!
One of my favorite Disney movies, is a “real person” movie from the 1960′s – The Ugly Dachsaund, which starred Dean Jones and Suzanna Pleshette. I don’t ever remember watching it myself when I was younger (I grew up in the 60′s), but we discovered it when my kids were young. It was probably on the Disney Channel or something. Anyways, we loved it so much, we taped it and watched it over and over. I was talking about it recently and now I am going to go through all the videos and find it and watch it again.
Mike on March 30, 2009 at 8:52 am
Rick,
Great video of Thunder Mountain! Our children can’t wait until we get the email notifying us of another great episode. We thought of a couple ideas…1. a week long FOOD expo on the restaurants at disney…2.a tour of the theme hotels at disney.
Look forward to the next email, keep up the great work!

My favorite Disney movie is Beauty and the Beast. I think the animation of the dancing food, dishes, plates, etc. was phenomenal. Thanks for all your hard work.

Big Thunder Montain Railroad happens to be a favorite for me and my daughter who is now 7 years of age. We went last year in June.
I don’t really have a favorite Disney movie. There are so many great films made by the Disney crew. One I just watched recently that makes me laugh big time is “Flushed Away”. If you haven’t seen that one, I recommend you see it. It is hilarious.
Tina on March 31, 2009 at 6:11 am

My favorite animated Disney movie has to be “The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh”. I have loved that movie for as long as I can remember and it still gives me that warm fuzzy feeling when I watch it with my kids. Of course the best movie that is Live-Action by Disney for us is the Pirates of the Caribbean Movies!! Love ‘em!
Love the Videos Rick!! Keep up the fantastic work!!

Wow, that’s a tough question. My boys and I just watched the BTMRR video this week…we love to watch the videos…and they wait for the question of the week. Although I’m sure these answers would change in a week
Right now my 4 year old’s favorite movie is Little Mermaid…my 7 year old’s favorite movie right now is Mulan and I think I’m tied between Nemo and Monster’s Inc. for the animated and Pirates of the Caribbean (the first) and Mary Poppins for the live-action. Hey, remember “Gus”??
Thanks again for a great video.

Good job Rick! We love Big Thunder! Have to ride it every time we go. My son & I ran from Tomorrowland to Big Thunder last year just before the park closed so we could ride it one more time. We also hit Splash Mountain too.
My favorite Disney movie would be Cinderella, but that’s a tough one. We love all the classics. Keep up the good work, Rick! We love it!
