During the holidays you can find the Disney characters all decked out in their finest apparel. Mickey and Minnie have several outfits depending on the occasion and location. Goofy makes appearances as Santa Goofy, and even Chip and Dale get into the holiday spirit and adorn scarfs, hats and other festive garb. Donald has a sporting outfit he wears for the holidays, and Pluto has even been seen as a reindeer!
You can see many of your favorite characters dressed for the holidays during Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade. Another parade that takes on a unique flavor for the holidays is Mickey’s Jingle Jungle Parade at Animal Kingdom Park. Duffy the bear gets a new outfit for the holidays as he appears in Epcot’s World Showcase.
No matter who your favorite character is, or wherever you run into them in the parks, it’s always a treat seeing them dressed up in their holiday finest!
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a special event held during the holidays on select nights November 8th through December 18 at the Magic Kingdom theme park. It is a hard ticketed event meaning you will need to purchase a special admission ticket to attend Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. This festive celebration is filled with live entertainment, spectacular fireworks, a most excellent holiday parade and much more!
We look particularly forward to this event every year and it’s one of the things we enjoy as we prepare for the holidays. I just love sipping hot cocoa and eating sugar cookies while snow falls on Mainstreet U.S.A. ! Nothing else quite says “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas” like that does!
All your Disney friends will be here on this special night too, decked out in their holiday attire and ready for special photo ops. Cinderella Castle is a main attraction of the night, it’s all covered in in glistening ice and there’s a special show in front of the castle where Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald and the Fairy Godmother all help Cinderella make her wish come true to cover the castle in ice. There’s also a Castle Stage Show with live entertainment. You definitely won’t want to miss the nighttime fireworks spectacular, Holiday Wishes over Cinderella Castle.
Oh and speaking of not to be missed, the highlight of the evening for me, okay besides the Cinderella Castle Dream Lights and Holiday Wishes is Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade, complete with a special appearance by Santa Claus himself! It’s a fantastic parade with Disney characters, Toy Soldiers, Dancers and incredible floats and it ends as every Christmas parade should with Santa Claus! What more could you want

Every Day thousands of guests travel to the Magic Kingdom right before it opens to see the opening ceremony. It is a grand performance in which the Mayor of the Magic Kingdom officially opens the park for the day as Mickey and his friends roll in on the Walt Disney World railroad.
