We have only seen this show once. Not sure why we don’t see it more. We typically do that part of DHS first thing so I think we forget about it later in the day.

Everyone in my family said their favorite character meal is Chef Mickey’s.
    Reasons
Mine – Food (Ok it has Goofy)
    Wife – Parm. Mash Potatoes
    Daughter – Dessert Bar
Son – only 2 he does not remember…

When my kids were growing up they LOVED Crystal Palace! Tigger was always their favorite! Now when we go back alone (our kids are grownup) we do CP as a tradition! We have some great memories there. 🙂

  3. I am sad to say that our favorite character dining WAS Liberty Tree Tavern. The food was fantastic and we loved the atmosphere, CM attire, fab 5, etc.

We’ll have to find a new favorite on our next trip.

    Great show Thanks
Well since I am a big Piglet fan the Crystal Palace was the place I loved but each of my kids has a different favorite. My daughter (even at 19 thinks she is a princess) loved Akershus we did this the first day we arrived at WDW on our first trip ever and it was great except it was raining and we were soaked while meeting the Princesses. My son and my daughters boyfriend both loved the Garden Grill because of Chip and Dale as well as all the other characters and of course Farmer Mickey.

    Thanks for another great video.
Favorite Character meal for us is Crystal Palace. My wife is a Poohaholic so it’s fun to watch her turn into a child when Pooh and friends come around.

Great video! We haven’t seen this show in some time. Do they still do the doves at the end? I didn’t see them in the video, but maybe I missed it. They also used to have a great pre-show, 4 guys singing, do they still have that? My kids are older now, and just won’t sit for shows like this one.

Our favorite character dining is Chef Mickey. We all just love it there. It’s usually our first dinner on our first night.

My favorite Disney movie is Beauty and the Beast and I’ve never seen this show at DHS so I think my daughter and I will go to see it in August. My favorite character meal was at Cinderellas castle for breakfast as it was the first one my daughter and I ever did in Oct 2002. We had a great table looking out over Fantasyland. We also enjoyed Cape May Cafe at Beach Club as that is where I celebrated my 40th birthday.

Rick the video is not working at this time. It keeps showing error.

We only ever ate at one character meal. That was at Goofy’s Kitchen at Disneyland Hotel. Many, many years ago.

Thanks for showing this show this week. I loved seeing it again. We have a teenage boy so he doesn’t like to sit threw alot of these shows even though my husband will go and see them with me.

We have only done one character meal but they don’t offer it any more. It was character dinning at the Liberty Tree Tavern. it was with Goofe, Pluto, Minnie, Dale and Chip. It was great. We got some great pictures with the characters. We hope to do another character dining this year. Maybe with Chef Mickey.

Our favorite was Donald’s Breakfastsaurous…but, alas, it’s no longer there! So, I guess my new favorite would be Cinderella’s Castle with the Princesses and my husband’s favorite is Donald’s Safari Breakfast. Thanks!

I remember seeing the Beauty and the Beast Show years ago, and I actually cried. Disney shows do that to me. 🙂
As far as character meals, I supposed I like Chef Mickey’s best as an official character mean, but I have fonder memories of a spontanious character appearance at Restrantasaurus when Chip and Dale spotted my 2 year old grand-niece through the window and expressed undying love for her. It made our day.

Would you believe it…this video was the very first time I saw the Beauty and the Beast stage show! I can’t explain why I’ve never caught it in the park; it just seems that whenever I stroll down Sunset Blvd., I don’t stop until I get to the Tower of Terror.

Favorite character meal(so far; I need to do more research, though)is Crystal Palace.

Thanks Rick! I have only had the opportunity to watch this once so I really enjoyed seeing it again!

I enjoy several character meals, but if I had to choose my favorite it would be Crystal Palace. I love watching the kids in the the Conga line with the happy faces!

However, I feel I need to list all the good ones we have attended in case someone is looking for ideas….1900 Park Fare (?) at the Grand Floridian, Cinderella’s Table, Akerhaus in Norway at Epcot is a great place to see the princesses with out the cost of Cinderella’s castle!!

Thanks for bringing me something to look forward to each week, Rick!

My favorite character meal is the Cinderella’s Table for Lunch. Dinner doesn’t have many of the princesses and I can never get there earlier enough for bfast. My daughters love getting to meet many of the big princesses all at once and the meal is actually good. Plus you get a photo from below the castle with Cinderella.

Loved the video this week as well. Never seen the show but am with my daughters this August. Thanks.

Hey Rick, Another great video. I don’t mind that it was long. I really enjoyed watching it. I have never been to a Character Meal. I have always thought they were just for kids. I have changed my mind. I think I will go to a Character meal the next time I go to Disney World.

    Hey Rick!!

Great episode. Beauty and the Beast is one of our must do’s every trip, although we sure do miss Four For a Dollar as their opening act.

Anyway, as for our favorite character meal, it was definitely Liberty Tree Tavern. My kids enjoyed the Thanksgiving style meal and it was a tradition that we did it each trip. It will be sad not to be able to do it this September, but that just means we need to start a new tradition.

Thanks a bunch for bringing us a little of the Disney Magic each week.
    Keep up the good work!

Great Video Rick! Love the shows – one of those things that always seem to be last on the list of To Do’s. I’m like Peggy – I am sitting here at work and actually cried watching Beauty & the Beast. And that was after pausing it several times. It is a great one!

I’ve only been to one Character Meal and that was in The Land – that was about 12 + years ago, but it was great. My son has also been the Crystal Palace and loved it even at 14 he loved Pooh, Piglet and Tigger.

Keep up the great work – “Travel with Rick” is the highlight of my week!

We havent’ been to many character meals but our favorite so far is the Breakfastasaurous but it is gone now. I’m glad to see many people enjoyed the Chef Mickey’s because we will be going there in August.
    Thanks again, Rick!

We really enjoyed the video of Beauty and the Beast. One of our favorites. We only went to one character breakfast & that was at the Empress Lily around l977 or 78. One of our fondest memories. All the gang was there & Pluto came over & put our one son’s head in his mouth. The kids really enjoyed it & so did we. This isn’t a character show, but the HoopDeeDoo Revue at Fort Wilderness is really a great show.

Thanks again for your video of The Beauty and the Beast. My wife and I saw this show back in 2002, before kids, now that our boys are 6 and 4 we will absolutely see this show in September! I so look forward to your videos. My families favorite character meal is Chef Mickey’s, my boys are so into Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald and Pluto, so its priceless to see them getting autographs and photos. Can’t wait for next week. Keep on smiling!

This video was great. With two boys, I was seen this a long time ago when my youngest was about 3- he is 12 now. Loved it, I always want to go, but no one will go with :(, too cool for the girl stuff….

My boys have always loved Chef Mickeys growing up. I do as well.
But the best moment was about two years ago at Crystal Palace. They put us in a corner and said to my oldest son (15 at the time) that we would be out of the way of the characters. Eyeore came from behnd him and scared the crap out of him and his brother. I captured the moment with my camera. The smiles they have in that picture are truly genuine and it is probably the best Disney picture I have :).

The Beauty and the Beast show is one of my all-time favorites, it’s magical.
My family’s favorite character meal is the ‘Ohana breakfast. The food has always been really good, the setting is perfect, and we’ve always gotten a good chunk of time with each character. It’s our WDW staple!
