Thanks Rick and Amanda, my wife would love that Lava cake, and I would have loved the creme brulee, and we both agree that coconut is not for us! My favorite resort for the holiday’s is the Grand Floridian! I had a chance last year to show-off for my family and mother-in-law by staying there last December, truly awesome! Keep up the great work. I’ve never been to Disneyland either, so your ride videos will be new to me. Keep smiling, Disney is great!

Hey Thanks for sharing I could almost taste the Lava Cake. Ok since I have never been to WDW during the holidays I don’t know about the decorations firsthand, only what I have read. I have seen a picture video on the decorations at Fort Wilderness and you are right they do go all out. I will have the chance to view all the decorations first hand this year. I will be at WDW Dec 11th- 15th and I hope you guys are there so my family and I can meet you. Thanks again.

Oh, for sure the Lava Cake – no contest.
I know many like the rides, but the street characters are one of my favorite thing about Disney. I know they would be harder to document, but do wish you would try.
Have never been there during the holidays, but hope to.

Great video Rick! Much like yourself, I’m not much of a dessert person, but to me, any video of Disney World is fun to watch. My wife and I have been to Disney World during Christmas twice. Our favorite Resort to visit has to ne Disney’s Grand Floridian. That giant Gingerbread house is awesome! The Christmas music played in the background there and the smell of the gingerbread is what keeps bringing us back there time and time again. Hopefully, we will be going back to Disney World next year during Christmas. Nobody does Christmas like Disney!
Thanks again for all the great videos.

The one time of year I haven’t been to Disney World is when they do the Christmas decorations. And I refuse to look at videos or pictures of it, because when I do finally get there for Christmas, I want everything to be like the first time.
But food and wine, oh food and wine. My first return to Disney as an adult was during Food & Wine Festival. And then as a college program intern, I worked at Epcot during all of Flower and Garden. Epcot festivals are just my favorite things.
Thank you both for sharing this year’s yumminess. It made me homesick and happy at the same time.

Thanks for a great video. I will have to try that Lava cake is Dec. when we get there. The Grand Flordian would have to be my favorite resort to visit for the Christmas Decorations. We having been able to visit all of the resorts yet to see how they are done up yet. We just love the gingerbread house. I tooks loads of pictures of it last year. It is just great.

Last year was our first time at Disney during the Christmas holiday and we stayed at the Carribean Beach resorts and I can not remember anything that really stood out to me decoration wise but we are leaving in exactely 18 days for WDW and we are staying at the Port Orleans resort and I will pay closer attention this time.
By the way, the first thing I am going to do when I get to Epcot is head to France for some Creme Brulee, my fav.
Thanks guys

Hi Rick,
Welcome back Amanda!
Rick, my youngest son never liked chocolate either and now he is in his 30’s and still doesn’t touch the stuff infact,he doesn’t eat any sweets!
Not me though and this episode was so good; I loved all of the desserts!!
I have a toss up between what resort I liked best at Christmas; The Grand Floridian and the Wilderness Lodge are both so beautiful at this time of year that I can’t make up my mond. If I had to make a choice I would select the GF so I could see the beautiful castle in the morning and before I went to sleep at night.
Have a Magical Day!

Another great video Rick and Amanda! I like all desserts, but anything with chocolate is my favorite. I haven’t been to WDW for the Christmas Holidays but from the videos that I have seen I think The Grand Floridian is the most nicely decorated.
Thanks again Rick. I look forward to seeing your video every week. And thanks to Amanda, I hope to see another video with her.

the only resort that I have seen that was done for christmas was All Star Music. so I ha ve not really seen any of the other resorts or their decoration.

Hands down…Grand Floridian! I think all the resorts do a great job, but if I have to pick one….this is the one.

Hi you two,
ANOTHER FUN video–thanks…and ALL the yummy desserts- We will be there again Nov 3&4 and will be doing them ALL (LOL) again!!! Rick can’t wait to see all your Disney Land videos ( I saw the one you were talking about on Californa Screaming -last year,, and you may have lost control for a few secs but that made it ever BETTER)—-The Ft Wilderness Christmas one will be great (Amanda your Halloween one was FANTASTIC) we love renting a cart looking at them every year,,the campers do a GREAT JOB!!!
I would have to say I think the Grand Floridian is the most ALL out Decorated–I mean NOTHING can TOP that Ginger Bread House!!
Thanks again for a GREAT Video!!

Food and Wine is an endless source of experiences. We were there for opening day and it was great. FYI-Creme Brulee is a custard made with eggs and baked. (Thought you might want to know.) I would have to say the Grand Floridian is the most decked out but we like to find the hidden mickeys in the chocolate sculptures over at the Yacht and Beach Club resorts.
As always great job.

Loved the video this weeek Amanda and Rick! The deserts look amazing. The Creme Brulee would have to be my favorite, but followed closely by the Lava Cake.
My favorite resort during the holiday’s is Wilderness Lodge. Amazing how they can decorate a tree using quilts! When I was there during the holidays in the past – I would hop on a different bus everytime we left a park and try to visit them all. The decorations truely match the resort themes. I loved Amanda’s suggestion about riding thru Fort Wilderness – can’t wait to see that.
I also can’t wait to see the rides from Disneyland – we are taking our grandson next year for his 1st trip and actually my husbands 1st trip to CA. I’m working on what-to-do with him so he will get the most out of the park. Unfortunately we only have one day so it will be only be Disneyland and not California Adventure too.
Keep up the great work – you and Amanda work great together – you have the most awesome job!

I just got back today from Walt Disney World. Loved the video of the deserts. They all looked yummy. The chocolate creme brulee was my favorite.
I think the Grand Floridian has the best holiday decorations. I love the gingerbread house. I was hoping that they would be putting it up while I was there this past week, but they are installing some amazing new Italian marble flooring and haven’t started the house yet.
You and Amanda work really well together. Thanks for the great videos!!

Great video. I wasn’t going to miss it so even though I took my time getting to it I still did it.
I think I am going to be able to make it next year to the Food and Wine, fingers crossed.
We have gone to WDW at Christmas 4 times. We always stay at the Contemporary and it is beautiful at Christmas, as well as, the Boardwalk, which we visit. We love to look at the ginger bread houses for the Hidden Mickey’s. But the Grand Floridian has to be the most extravagantly Christmas resort. It is my goal next year to get to more of the resorts so I can have more to compare.

Ya’ll are really brave to eat in front of a camera. I’m not so confident that I could eat with enough grace for public viewing. LOL!
