Great episode guys. You know I love the food episodes.Everybody’s food looked fantastic! I probably would have ordered the same thing John had because I love pork chops. The whole place looked really nice.I wouldn’t mind staying there when I go to Disney next. For question of the week I’d have to say Joe’s Crab Shack. If you are a seafood junkie like I am this place does not disappoint. They even have food that is not seafood and it’s yummy too.You guys are awesome, can’t wait til next episode.

Hey Rick,
The restaurant that I love which is not on Disney property but is in the Orlando area is Carabba’s which is an AMAZING Italian restaurant. My mom and I love it. The food is just awesome and one of my favorite restaurants that I have been to.

Great episode as always. Have never been to the Turf Club but will make sure to add it to our must do list next trip. Our favorite offsite restaurant is any of the Orlando Ale House restaurants. It is a sports bar but they do not have a typical sports bar menu. They have an expansive menu with many options and many drink choices and their prices are very reasonable. We have never had a bad meal there. Keep up the good work and thanks for what you do.

Ive Never been inside Saratogo. We will have to check it out. Now thats a hard question for me to answer because when we are in Orlando we eat at Disney or Universal, but I would have to say Texas De Brazil. but if you ever get a chance to drive up to Daytona Beach go to Aunt Catfish, Down the Hatch, Gene’s Steakhouse, or Blackbeards in New Smyrna.

Hi Rick
I have been at the Turf Club before. I loved the food there. I have a goal to eat my way though WDW. It may take a few trips to do. Sorry can’t help with a restaurant but anytime your in Tucson I can help.
One thing I do before going on my trips is to drop some weight because I will gain it back when I’m at WDW.

Liked your Saratoga dinner, but would have liked to know the prices or at least a range like 5-10 or 10- 15…and I thought the portions were a bit small. But I really liked the place.
Tony Roma’s on International Dr. or Carabba’s. Love them both !! Tony’s is a bit cheaper.. I’m all about cheap !! I’m just a poor girl !!

My favorite restaurant not on Disney property I think would have to be Bahama Breeze, and o my gawd, I just found out they now have a location near me when I went to check on the name (I always want to call it Bahama Mama or Mamas despite the fact that when I first went there, I didn’t even know what a Bahama Mama was cuz I couldn’t drink yet). I think it’s my fav. because it’s the first one I thought of, and I never mind not being able to go straight to a park, or even Downtown Disney, if we check in off-site at night if we get to go to Bahama Breeze. It definitely makes me feel like I’m on vacation, and the drinks and food are great.
B.t.w., Rick, I got my A.K. button and park map! Can’t wait to display them in our hutch that’s going in the nursery! 🙂

Great show , I really appreciate your videos of WDW . We have been staying on property the last three times we gone to WDW.
But before that we stayed off property and dined locally . My favorite place was Chevys a tex-mex restaurant which is a chain that also has a location in my. Home state of New Jersey.

Loved this weeks episode on The Turf Club at Saratoga Springs! We have eaten there many times over the years and simply adore this restaurant! Unfortunately this place is often over looked by guests looking for a place to eat but they are really missing out! We enjoy arriving early for our ADR’s and getting a drink from the bar and playing a game or two of pool or just relaxing in the overstuffed couches and chairs.
There is an awesome view of the Golf course and after dinner right out in back of the Turf Club you can get boat service to Downtown Disney! In addition, I don’t think you mentioned The Turf Club has outdoor seating available. We enjoy sitting out there enjoying a great meal! Folks really need to give this place a try, you won’t be disappointed!
Thanks Rick for another awesome episode of Travel with Rick!

Those onion rings looked yummy! Well, I can’t help you on finding places outside of WDW property because when we come down we do not venture out! If you come up to Ohio I can show you some fantastic restaurants. Thank you for another great video everyone. It is great to see a little bit of Disney every week.

Hey Rick,
I love the Saratoga Springs Resort. It looks like a great resort to stay at, but I can’t resist the Magic Kingdom resorts. I love to see the Water pageant and Wishes. And I love riding the Monorail to Epcot and the Magic Kingdom. I love to eat at Red Robin, Chilies, Cracker Barrel, and among others I can’t think of right now. Anyway have a good week and welcome home.

My partner and I absolutely love your blog and find many of your post’s to be exactly what I’m looking for.
can you offer guest writers to write content available for you?
I wouldn’t mind composing a post or elaborating on some of the subjects you write concerning here. Again, awesome site!

Although the Turf Club did seem a bit noisy, the great food, great location, and great company win the day! Living in KC, the bar is set high for good barbecue. However, Fat Boy’s BBQ in Kissimmee does a fairly decent job. The place has been around for 40 years and has been a favorite ever since we started visiting WDW as a family in the 80’s. Be sure to try to sloppy BBQ pork!

Hello Rick! Nice to be able to view your videos again. The best restaurant I have been to that is not Disney related in any way would have to be
Po Folks. Too bad that I just found out it shut down in Buena Park, CA. But I also found out that there are several locations still open in Enterprise, AL, Lynn Haven, FL, Marianna, FL, St. Petersburg, FL, Panama City, FL, Niceville, FL, and Callaway, FL. If you have not been there before, check one of them out. The best part was always seeing the toy trains go around the restaurant. So many great places to eat (esp. for families) are closing down everywhere. Continue with all the great work in your business and others working with you.

Hey Rick and Everybody,
That looked like a really nice lunch/dinner. I will have to give the Turf Club a try the next time I go to WDW. I really like the Sarasota Springs Resort. I took my first tour of a DVC resort at the SSR. I fell in love with the resort. The rooms are so nicely furnished. They made me feel like I wanted to come in, sit down, and relax.
As far as a favorite restaurant outside of Disney goes–I really had to give that some thought. Then I remembered–on one of my trips to Disney World I took a day off from the theme parks and went to a beach near New Smyrna Beach. Somewhere in that area I stopped at a roadside restaurant and had the best scallops and chips that I have ever had. I can’t think of the name of the Restaurant. I will go hunting for it the next time I am in that area.
See you next week.
Bob

Looking forward to the Panama Canal report as this is one cruise that I’d love to go on as I’ve been fascinated by the canal for years.

Hey Rick, thanks for another great episode. The Turf Club is somewhere I have not been yet, but have been waning to.
In Orlando, our favorite non-Disney hang out is poolside at the Omni Championsgate Orlando Resort, very nice hotel with a lazy river!

Hey Rick that was a great episode. I should not have watched it on a empty belly. Sorry I can’t give you a place to eat outside of the World as we don’t leave the world when we get there.
Looking forward to seeing the new test track next week

Hi Rick another great show as always, for the question of the week:
When we are on vacation, we like to try different places to eat (not the normal chain types), but
after a late arrival, we took the doorman’s advice at the Hilton Lake Buena Vista and ate at the Benihana’s inside the Hilton, This was the first time eating at a Benihana’s restaurant, but it won’t be our last, The food and service was excellent, and they have an extensive wine & beer list.
Their house Merlot is 14 Hands Merlot from Washington – Excellent!!!
When we can’t get Disney reservations, this will be our go to place!
