California Screamin Disneyland – Episode 4
This week we visit the Disneyland Resort in California and take a ride on California Screamin’, a very cool, very smooth coaster.
I did kind of blow the video on this one, after the big loop, about half way thru I just couldn’t get my camera back in focus for some reason. So I cut mine short and found a full version for you on youtube and embedded it here, hope you enjoy it!
As awesome as this coaster looks during the day, it is better….if you can believe it…at night! You are so right about it being extremely smooth. The first time I rode it, I was expecting the feeling of the wooden coaster (didn’t yet know it was steel). As it started, I immediately noticed the smooth as glass feel.
Don’t feel bad about the camera malfunction! The same thing has happened to me! 😉 You’ll just have to go back and try again!

Fantastic video of one of my favorite rides at DLR. I don’t know how y’all can hold on to the camera. The guy who filmed the second video kept it so steady. I don’t know how he did it. Anyway, I loved “riding” the coaster again through these two videos.
As for my favorite character, it is most definitely Eeyore. He’s my buddy. On 10/31/06, my family was asked to be the Grand Marshals in the Halloween Parade that evening. Very cool! When we went backstage behind IASW to get into position, we met a lot of the characters who would be dancing in front of and behind Walt Disney’s personal fire truck that we got to ride in. I was so happy to see my own blue donkey, Eeyore, who would be traveling with our fire truck along the entire parade route. We got lots of group photos and got to talk to the CMs and visit with the characters…all backstage. And, I got some one-on-one time with Eeyore. It was a wonderful experience.
