Great video! I would Love to see all those decorations at night some time.
My favorite Camp meal has always been breakfast. There’s just something wonderful about the smell of sausage and bacon and eggs cooked outside in the morning.
Careful though…bacon grease is extremely flamible! Have a great holiday and thanks again for all the great videos!

    Hi Rick,
I have not been to Fort Wilderness, but it looks like alot of fun. I bet it is beautiful at night with all the lights on. We will have to make a point of going there next time. A hot cup of coffee early in the morning while sitting outside listening to nature would have to be tops for me.

I can’t wait to camp @ WDW – Fort Wilderness, especially during the holidays. the decorations are incredible – One question tho – where does everyone store all that! I’m not sure I have a big enough storage for some of those!
As always – you did a great job Amanda!

I think my favorite food when sitting around a camp ground is a fresh brewed cup of coffee and roasted marshmallows!

Keep up the great work – both of you! Wishing everyone a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year……..

  12. Thanks to everyone for tolerating me for another episode. =) Diana…what in the world is a pudgie pie? I’m intrigued!

Fave campfire food…I am going to have to go with toasted marshmallows when they are dark brown and crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. It’s always so much fun to hunt down a stick and whittle the end to put the nom noms on….

Hope I get too see you all in another episode soon!

Thanks Rick and Amanda for showing us the decorations at Fort Wilderness Campground. I have never had the pleasure of visiting there and will definitely make a trip over to Fort Wilderness when I visit WDW the next time.

I am a life-long Girl Scout so you would think my favorite campfire food would be s’mores. But, no, I would much rather have a cherry (or pizza) mountain pie.

    Happy Holidays everyone!!

Can you believe that I have never been camping, so I don’t have a favorite campfire food?
But if I were to go camping, Fort Wildreness is the only place I would want to go to.
I am amazed at the dedication of those RV fans. How do they find room for themselves after loading up all those decoration into the RV? 🙂

    Thanks Amanda and Rick,
I just got back from WDW on Tuesday. I have to tell you the decorations are awesome all over the parks and resorts. Ok my favorite campfire food has to be Toasted marshmallows just plain no smores ( they give me too much of a sugar rush)

If anyone knows me, they know that Fort Wilderness is hands down my favorite Disney resort. I have camped there and stayed in the cabins. Fort Wilderness during the holidays is a Disney attraction in itself! In fact, last year, the Travel Channel had a Disney holiday special and they even did a spot on Fort Wilderness. NEXT TIME (hint!) you have to film it at night. I saw most of those decorations at night within the last couple weeks….even more spectacular when all those decorations are light!

Favorite campfire food…toasted marshmellows…after they are on fire for about 5 seconds!!

The family has always talked about camping at Disney World and it looks beautiful.
We are avid campers and I am well know by our camping family and friends for my pulled pork. I do it cowboy style in a dutch oven heated by wood and charcol.
I also make a chocolate volcano desert in the dutch oven that is to die for.
Thanks for another great video Rick.

My family and I have been going to WDW to camp at Ft. Wilderness 2 to 3 times a year for 2 years now and it is amazing!!! We just went for Thanksgiving and again for New Year’s and we agree with Amanda. We didn’t go to any of the parks and enjoyed everything there is to do in the campground just as much.

My favorite campfire food: Ribeyes or baby back ribs with pork beans (followed by s’mores, of course).

Have a wonderful new year everyone!!! Hope to see you there next time. =o)
