    Hi Rick and John,

I love this episode. This is my favorite resort and I have DVC @ AKL as well. I’ve downloaded this episode to my desktop and plan on watching it every time I miss my home away from home. Thank you so much for recording it. I would have to say my favorite place to read is a toss up between the balcony off of the room or under some shade near the pool.

If I am the lucky Eric that won last week’s drawing, thank you so much and I can’t wait to read the passporter when it arrives and again @ Kidani in June when I return to my favorite place.

Thanks again for making my week,

    Eric, aka trumpeteer

WOW OH WOW! Kidani Village is the place for me. Thanks so much for showing the Kidani Village Resort. I loved it. What a perfect place to stay and relax, take a break from the theme parks, and read a book.

As always, loved the video – gives me a weekly Disney fix, which is especially important up here in Pennsylvania in the winter.

I do my share of reading at Disney World, believe it or not, and my favorite place to read is under the awning of my camper at Fort Wilderness, with an icy cold beverage (or hot cup of coffee, depending on the weather).

Whoaaa…who has time for reading? With 2 little ones, that is a luxury I look forward to one day! But, when I could find a few minutes of solitude for reading….and it would probably be all the guides of what to do next..lol…I think a nice place would be along the Boardwalk path between the Boardwalk and Yacht and Beach Club. Even though it is well traveled, there are still quiet moments. Thanks, Rick!

Favorite place to read and relax – hmmm – outside if it wasn’t cold, in any of the little nooks with a bench and flowers.

My favorite place to read is at the quiet pools at the resorts. They usually are not crowded at all and I can sun and read at the same time! Thanks!

  8. Such a beautiful resort. I love the theming, especially the subtle touches like the lantern nitches and proverbs. I haven’t stayed there yet but now I intend to. The kids will love being able to see the animals from the room.

My favorite place to read(or just sit) is early in the morning down near the water at the Polynesion. It is so peaceful and to be able to glance across the lake at the Magic Kingdom is just, well, magical.

Now I have to book my next trip. Looks like for May 12-17.
    Hope to see you.

    Great video Rick!
    I Love the tour videos.
Place to read at WDW? Hmmm. Mine would have to be sitting outside on the patio of a first floor room in the Hawaii Longhouse at Disney’s Polynesian Resort with a castle view.

Great video – Loved seeing Kidani Village. I hope to see it next time we’re at WDW. Showed Hubby Animal Kingdom lodge the last time there, so I know he’d love Kidani also.

I haven’t taken the time to sit and read when in WDW, but my favorite place to relax is at the quiet pools in the evenings. They aren’t as busy as the main pools and gives us some much needed peace & quiet and putting our feet in the pool after walking all day is a perfect ending to the day.

Thanks Rick and John, I just love the theming of Kidani village. We try to stay at a different resort each time we visit WDW, I believe I just found my next resort. I’m so thankful for y’all. I just love to relax on the Polynesian beach in one of the hammocks, so peaceful. Y’all keep smiling, and have fun!

  13. Rick,

I just recently had lunch with an imagineer at the Brown Derby and she was the Principal Interior Designer for the Jamba House and Cinderella castle suite. If she would have let us I could have talked to her all day. If you have not had this experience, it is a must do !!!

It was great to see video of the new Kidani Village. It is my husbands favorite looking resort so hope to stay there someday.
I would like to read in one of the quiet rooms at the Beach Club. I really like the theming there.

Great Video nice place. Ok when we were there last Dec we stayed at Coronado Springs. I really enjoyed the Hammock’s they have out around the water on the white sand beach. It was a great place to lay around and enjoy the beautiful weather we had for the week we were there.
Thanks again for the great video

Thanks so much for posting this! We are new DVC owners at AKV and will be staying there for the first time in August! I’m so excited and cannot wait to see and experience everything in person! And if I had a chance to read while there it would definitely be on our balcony onverlooking the savannah.

Great video. The place that would be best for me to read is at the little park at All Star Music near the jazz area. that garden always seems so quiet and peaceful. Thanks for another great show.

My favorite place to read is one of the little nooks you showed at Wilderness Lodge. On one of our trips, the girls played cards at a small table and I read a book during some storm induced down time. It is such a beautiful resort with many areas to explore on a rainy day!

    Rick,

First, I want to thank you so much for the Passporter I won recently. It arrived today, and I’m excited to dig into it as I do all things Disney. Thank you so much!
I really enjoyed the tour of Kidani village. I did my own tour on our recent trip in september and think it’s a great addition to Disney resorts. I’m personally a Jambo house guy (prefer the livlier atmosphere), but I’m so glad DVC has added a mellower version for the more laid back folks.
While I don’t read books while on vacation, I love to read the paper every day. My favorite spot for doing this would be the sitting area just off the lobby of the Boardwalk resort overlooking the Boardwalk green. I love peeking over my paper to see families moving about as they prepare for a day at Epcot or some other spot around the World.

Thanks for showing us Kidani. When we stayed at AKL, Kidani wasn’t quite open yet. Our balcony on Sunset Savanna faced it.
My fav. spot for reading while at Poly last Jan. was a hammock on the beach. There’s always a spot I find in what ever resort I’m at. At AKL I liked the big rocking chairs by the fire pit, or on the deck overlooking Arusha Rock by Kudu Trail off lobby.

What a beautiful resort. Disney really does it better than any one else! Thank you for showing this beautiful resort and I would love to snuggle up to a nice mystery anywhere there! The only spot I have read at Disney (and it was a Passporter!) was on the Poly beach and it was wonderful.
    Thanks for another great video!

I would enjoy reading a book on the balcony over looking the savana. While watching the animals roam so peacefully. Also enjoying a Bloody Mary after visiting the Magic Kingdom during the day.

Thanks for the great video. We’ve just returned from a wonderful holiday at Kidani Village and I was amazed to see Rick’s video was from the room we were in. I’ll keep looking at this to get my Disney ‘fix.’ Can’t wait to go back.
