Absolutely breathtaking!!! No way pictures do it justice, I must go there, someday. All I hear in my house right now is, Daddy, I want to go on Disney Cruise and ride the Aquaduck! I say me too, So I believe an Eastern Caribbean cruise on the Fantasy in the fall of 2012 is in the works! My boys are 8 and 5, so I think I’ll wait a little longer before we go on a Adventure by Disney! Someday I’ll be impressing my friend by saying, Neuschwanstein Castle. I believe King Ludwig II was inspired by the composer Richard Wagner! Thanks y’all for all your awesome episodes on your trip to Germany, keep that smile on and I’ll tune in next week!

Hi Rick,
Finally we got to see that beautiful castle. Thank you for the lovely
video.
Neuschwanstein means ” New Swan Stone”; this name of the castle derives from one of Wagner’s operas character, the Swan Knight. King LudwigII loved Wagner’s operas at an early age and rooms in the castle reflect his love of the legends used by Wagner in his operas. Interesting though that Wagner
never visited the castle.
I enjoyed my trips to Germany Rick!

Hey Rick.
I enjoyed those breathtaking views of Neuschwanstein Castle. It is a shame you can’t videotape the inside. Richard Wagner was the composer that Ludwig built the castle for. The castle is very beautiful. See you next week.

Hi Rick. Thanks for the beautiful video and scenes of Neuschwanstein Castle. King Ludwig’s favorite composer was Richard Wagner. I hope some day I can take the Adventures by Disney tour of Germany.
Rick, thank you so much for the Travel With Rick videos that you post every week. I always look forward to them. Watching your videos gives me something to hope for and to dream about.

Hey Rick! Great show as always. I have always been fascinated by Neushwanstien castle since I first visited Disneyland. But I do have a quick question not related to either.
Have you considered investing in some lapel mics? It would really really really greatly improve the audio in your videos. I always seem to get distracted by sounds going on in the background of your interview episodes.
Keep up the amazing work!

It’s good to see Tracy Eargood again. She was our guide when we did the “Spirit of America” trip. She was the best guide ever. Great with the children too. We wish she could be our guide on all our ABD trips (not that the others aren’t good too, just Tracy was the best).
Thanks for sharing Rick!

Beautiful Castle. I can see how it inspires, after all, it was inspired. I wish we could have seen video of the inside. Are there at least some offical still pictures somewhere out there?
Great episode. I suppose it was Wagner. Thanks everyone for not making me have to look it up. 🙂
