Hi Rick,
Thanks for another fun ride on one of my favorite mountains. I liked your tip about riding up front to slow the ride down because my husband and I love this ride but it would be so jerky and hurt our backs so we haven’t been on this ride for a long time.
The first time I visited Frontierland would be on our first Disney trip in 1988.
Looking forward to your 100th blog next week!!
Take care

Hi Rick,
Thanks for the tip on seating for Thunder Mountain. Love the ride! Our first time to Frontierland was August 1981.
We are relly looking forward to when you do a video from the Dream. Maybe we will see Colleen in it. I know they are on the Dream this weekend. You do a wonderful job.

Thanks Rick, for yet another great video!
BTMR is my wife’s favorite attraction. I enjoy seeing all the detail that you get to see both on the ride and in the queue area. I enjoy the ride as well. It’s like going to my chiropractor but much more fun.
I was a late Disney Bloomer and so my first trip to The Magic Kingdom wasn’t until the age of 36 in 1990. I enjoyed it so much that we have been going back twice a year ever since that first trip!

Thanks for the ride on BTMRR. It is my all time favorite ride in all of WDW. The first time I was in Frontierland was also my daughter’s first time on our first trip to WDW in Oct 2002. That is when we fell in love and have gone down 5 times with our 6th and 7th trip coming later in 2011.
Can’t wait for next week and the 100th episode!!!!!!

Hey Rick! Another great episode! My first trip to Walt Disney World was back when I was 25 years old. Therefore my first ride on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad was at that time. That was the best vacaction ever! I will never forget it. I have been back to Disney World four times since then. I am not sure when I will be going back for financial reasons, so watching your videos is a real treat for me. Hopefully I will be back in the World in 2012-2013 when they finish the Fantasyland expansion. Take care and thank you once again!….. And congratulations on your upcoming 100th episode! Can’t wait to watch it!

Great episode Rick. BTMRR is my family’s favorite as it was the first mtn we went on when my kids were smaller and a bit apprehensive about coasters. Big Thunder was so much fun that they became hooked on WDW instantly.
My first visit was way back in 1972 when I was 9, but not again until 1991 when my wife and I did a land/sea Honeymoon on the old Big Red Boat.
Looking forward to episode #100. Keep up the good word. Your videos are like oxygen that keeps me going between visits.

First time was 1982 just after EPCOT opened. My dad got a timeshare invite that included 4, 2 day park tickets for WDW. Our Grandparents had a Wintering spot near by so we stayed there 2 days and then a motel on I-192 for 3 days.
It always suprises me that BTMRR is longer than is seems. There are a couple of points were I think it is the end but it is not, I love that it fools you that way!

Thanks for the ride Rick!
99 is Divine!
My first Frontierland visit at Disneyland was in ’71, first at Disney World was ’91.
Agree with your tip on riding in the back for the faster ride.
We always prefer the back, but never request it.
I’m a big believer in letting fate decide my seating locations.
Looking forward to you 100th show, and so glad I found your site!

Hey Rick,
Thanks for walking us through all the line because when we go one member of our group has a disability so we usually have to bypass the lines, so thanks again for sharing what we missed.

Hi Rick,
Thank you for a ride on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. This made my week. Big Thunder Mountain is my #1 favorite ride a Disney. I’ve been riding the attraction since 2003. 2003 was my first trip to Disney and visiting Frontierland. Frontierland is my favorite land at the Magic Kingdom.

Great video Rick! We love Big Thunder! Our first trip to Frontierland was in l975 with our 4 sons. One of the best vacations of our lives. Big Thunder wasn’t there then, but we had Country Bears, Tom Sawyers Island, the canoe rides (which were a blast), Diamond Horseshoe Review, Keelboats, etc. Also thanks for the Candlelight Ceremony from Christmas. We’ve been doing some catchup on your videos. Keep up the good work!

Great Video Rick!
I love seeing all that stuff in the queue. This is one of my favorite rides in Magic Kingdom so it was great to see it today. I think I went to Frontier Land in 1976 but my memories are a little hazy. I certainly remember the 2007 trip with my family and it is our favorite land!
Thanks again and I have seen all 99 videos!!! can’t wail for the 100th!

Hey Rick, I enjoyed watching the ride. Next time I’m going to sit in the front!! My first visit to Frontier Land was at Disneyland in 1966. I was 9 years old. Frontier Land has always been one of my favorite parts of the Magic Kingdom. When I win the lottery one of the first things I’m going to do is go to Disneyland and Disney World. I just can’t get enough of the Disney Parks.

Love this ride, my boys absolutely LOVE this ride, they call it, “the fast train”! Whenever we are wondering where to go next they say, “fast train”, I love it! We got to stay on three times in a row during the marathon weekend a couple of weeks ago, sweet! My first experience in Frontier Land was in 1979, I was four, and I remember visiting The Country Bear Jamboree! I’m so thankful to my parents for instilling in me the love of Disney and right now I’m really loving passing on my love for Disney to my two boys. At home, they are all about mama, but in Disney, I’ve got one boy on each hand and we are leading the pack to the next attraction, they are all about Daddy in Disney! I’m so looking forward to your 100th episode, keep smilin’ my friend!

99 episodes? They just keep getting better and better.
Thunder Mountain is my favorite coaster. To me it is a perfect mix of thrills, without being too much for small kids and older folks, and themeing. Love that T Rex head! Thanks for the glimpse.
My first time at Frontier Land was in ’91. I had wanted to go way back but never got to until ’91. Worth the wait, but all those years I missed!?
I can’t wait to see Episode 100. 🙂

I am writing in regard to the closing of The Barnstormer at
Goofy’s Wiseacre Farm. I would like to add myself to what I am sure is
a contingent of Barnstormer fans that would like to know if it is
going to be reopened after maintenance and reconditioning. Or is going
to be gone for forever? Will it be back? I love that ride! Every time
I come to Disney world I try to ride it at least once. It is also an
excellent ride to start Children on riding a roller coasters, as well
as, older people who have never rode one. The last time I was there I took a
nineteen year old boy who wanted to ride Big Thunder Mountain, however he had
never rode a roller coaster before and he was less than confident to do so. I suggested that
we ride the Barnstormer to acclimate him. I have never seen someone so
happy! After we got off of the Barnstormer we went back to Big Thunder
Mountain and rode it three times that day. I took my Nephew on his
first roller coaster ride on Barnstormer, in addition to my best
Friends boy when he was Six years old.
Kind regard,

Loved it – Loved it! BTMR is my all time favorite ride – day or night. I could ride it over and over and over and you are right – depending on where you sit on the train, depends on the speed and jerkiness of the ride!
I’m like Scott above and did not discover WDW until 1994 when I was 38. I fell in love with it on the first trip, although EPCOT is my all time favorite park – MK hold a special place in my heart where I have spent many trips with my kids, my grand-kids and family.
Can not wait till next weeks 100th episode! I was looking through old e-mails the other day and found some from back in 2008! Hard to believe – enjoyed each and everyone of them!

Great Ride Along Rick! Thanks for all you do, and Andrew did a great job of filming and not screaming too much!! It’s always a blast to watch these videos while I’m stuck at home or on a work break…it allows me to have a little bit of Magic without having to be at the parks! Thanks again!!

Love BTMR!!! It is a classic. I have to admit, I’ve never noticed that the trains have names! So now i will look! Our first time in Frontier Land at WDW was 2003. But I’ve been to DL in the 1970s.
I noticed the date of your blog, we must have just missed you, we were in WDW late Jan! Arrived 1/22.
