Seaplane Ride to the Dry Tortugas
Episode 397 – September 2, 2016
Take a ride with us in a seaplane from Key West airport out to the Dry Tortugas where Fort Jefferson National Park is located. We took off from Key West and made the approximately 30-minute flight out to the Dry Tortugas and landed in the water after making a low pass over Fort Jefferson, the largest brick building in North America. Along the way, we saw turtles and sharks swimming in the water along with the shipwrecks of the Atocha and the Santa Margarita.
We spent a couple of hours on the island touring around the fort and snorkeling, the area is known for its aquatic wildlife. We took off from the island flew back to Key West and had a wonderful view of that island coming back in. An incredible day, check out the water landings and takeoffs, I loved every minute of this weeks video, enjoy!
