Loved the new Fantasy Land-so interactive! The Beast restaurant was beyond amazing! What a treat! The brew at Gaston’s Tavern was wonderful, but comparing it to the Dole whip float is like comparing apples to pineapples…two different things. I think we will always be partial to Dole whip, but love having new choices.

Rick, loved meeting you and your crew at the Epcot Food and Wine Festival! A big highlight of our trip! We were the couple from North Idaho:-)Thanks for all of your good advice. It truly made our vacation perfect!

When we go to WDW, one thing I feel I can’t leave without having, is a Dole Whip Float (with vanilla ice cream)! It’s sooo good! During our trip in October, I was fortunate enough to be able to have Lefou’s Brew. It was also delicious! Between the two, though, I think my vote would go to the Dole Whip.

I haven’t had the pork shank yet, but it looks delicious! The turkey legs are ok, but if I had to choose between turkey and pork in general, I think pork is much more flavorful.

Thanks for the video…makes me want to get back there as soon as I can to try the pork shank!

All four items that you tried on the show looked awesome, but I think my fave would be the pork shank. And I’d have to go Dole whip over the brew but I’d love to try it to make sure.

you’ve hit on something we love almost as good as food & wine fest! that’s dole whip! lefou’s brew is really good, but it’s a distant 2nd behind the “whip”!!! the brew is really really sweet, almost too sweet! & that pork shank is soooo much better than the turkey leg! believe it or not, my wife & i (after leaving the f&w festival) slipped over to enjoy mickey’s not so scary halloween party & we tried the brew & the shank! the pork shank is salty, tender goodness all the way to the bone! (a good tip is grab LOTS of napkins) the turkey leg—well everything should be tried once, but that gamey thing won’t ever be bought by us again! yuck! & value at disney? the heck with value—the more you spend the more fun you have! haha! great video btw, & maybe we’ll bump into you on our next trip to disney in april! it’s booked & we’re gonna have another shank & whip for certain….you lucky dog going to disney so much! don’t you need help with drop cords or anything? if you do, hit me up…take care…steven

That was good and yes I was hungry after watching the video. You mentioned one of the choices of the Dole Whip is an orange colored ice cream, I wonder if that tastes like the old Dreamsicles we used to get as a kid. That would taste good with pineapple juice. RIP to the Hostess Twinkie. YEA I won some pins, Thanks for all the wonderful videos.

Boy, you guys have it sooo bad! RIGHT! 😀 I wish I could have a job where I would have to go to a Disney Park all the time. My next trip is in Sept. I plan to try the pork and brew.

    Hey Rick,
I had a Dole Whip at the Polynesian Resort. I loved it, in fact, I could eat on right now. I had a turkey leg at Hersheypark this summer. It was dynamite. I will definitely have a turkey leg and a pork shank at the Magic Kingdom in 2013. I will also have a dole whip float and a Lefu brew. Does the brew have alcohol? See you next week. PS. Happy Thanksgiving.

Well, I did get to try both new items already.

Like Rick, I like apples, but apple juice is not my thing. I prefer the pineapple dole whip!

I also like the flavor of the pork shank better than the turkey leg. My advice is if you eat it with your fingers is to bring a wet napkin, the Disney napkin just stick to your fingers and shred apart.

After watching y’all though, I think I will try a fork next time 🙂

Hi Rick. Great video! Always great to see Andrew on this side of the camera.
My wife and I tried a LeFous Brew in October. It was refreshing and differant. Was it better than a Pineapple Dole Whip Float?…nope…not even close. Having soft serve ice cream and something to drink when the ice cream is gone is like 2 treats in one, and like you, I’m not a big fan of Apple juice. As far as the shank versus Turkey leg, I like the flavor of both but find the Turkey legs to be too pricey now and a hassle to eat. I didn’t try a shank on my October trip but will definitely try one in the spring when we go down for the Flower and garden show. I like smoked pork ( A pulled pork sammich at Flame Tree Bar-B-Que at Animal Kingdom is a must do every trip) so I’m sure I’ll enjoy the Shank at Gastons. Again…thanks for another great video.Keep them coming!

Great video friends! The pork looked awesome, I’ve just got to try it on my next visit during the marathon weekend! I’m a vanilla soft serve and pineapple juice fan, I’m craving one right now! Thank y’all so much, always love the food episodes, maybe next time y’all could do food in tubular form, that would be off the hook! It would only be Casey’s Corner, that’s okay, it’s awesome! Keep those smiles on friends!
