The BEST attraction in WDW to not be around anymore is by far Horizons. I remember it so well and have great family memories on it. I tell my kids after taking them to WDW what they are missing by them never seeing it and they just don’t believe me but I have showed them video I have (and I have a lot) and they sort of get it.

CLASSIC! Dumbo is one of my earliest memories of WDW! Another one of my earliest memories that’s no longer with us is Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, loved it in WDW! I know I can still experience it in Disneyland, but WDW is only an hour and a half flight from Jackson, MS! I’m looking forward to the new Dumbo attraction in the Fantasyland expansion though too! Thanks so much Rick, see ya next week, until then, keep that smile ON my friend!

HI RICK…
Great Ride…thanks for taking us along…we have gone on this ride ever since our son was a little boy—I still like to take a whirl once in a while just to look over the park lol,,,Rides I miss are:
Dream Flight,
Mr. Toads Wild Adventures,
Wheels of Motion (EPCOT)
I LOVED the older version of Imagination..and the
Twenty Thousand Leagues Under The Sea was a cool ride too..

Thanks for taking me on Dumbo’s ride!! I really used to love “If You Had Wings.” That was great and hardly ever had a wait in line.
Looking forward to the next Travel with Rick. 🙂

Hi Rick,
This was fun and I love this ride! Dumbo was one of my grandkids favorites too.
Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea was a neat experience but they now have the submarines out in DL and use a NEMO theme.
Rick I came across an old pin I have had for sometime. Do you remember when you sent these out? It’s from the Kingdom travel agency and my pin says: Guest of Honor”Disney Mom” and KMT. COM That is a long time ago so you
know how long I have been visiting!

Hey Rick
When I was at the Magic Kingdom on July 29, 2011, I almost went on this attraction. I didn’t, because I felt like a heel. A 20-year-old riding a ride geared toward little kids. When I go in 2013, I will definitly go on this ride. I am really exited to see the new section of Fantasyland. The only rides that I can name that unwent changes is Space Mountain, and Spaceship Earth. They added extra stuff in both of these rides. The Haunted Mansion changed alittle to. The sound is better and the ride effects are clearer. Anyway have a good week.

Hey Rick!
Love Dumbo!! Last Oct. I got to take my nephew on it for his first time! We even got our fav. color, Yellow!! He was so excited and was even more thrilled that he got to “drive.”
I am only 23 but remember my many trips as a child to WDW. I can’t remember the name but it was sponsored by Delta it is were the Laugh Floor for Monster’s INC. is now. I will never forget that for some reason.
Also I remember what we all call the alien ride in my family. It is the ride where stitch’s great escape is now. I HATED THAT RIDE and won’t go on stitch either. My family drug me on it and i remember coming out of there and saying I will NOT go on that again!! 🙂
I can’t wait to see all the changes they have made in the past year!!
Thanks Rick and Andrew for allowing me to still see and be apart of the Disney Magic even though I am in Minnesota!

Hey Rick,
Thanks for the ride. I don’t think I have ridden on the Dumbo ride since I was nine or ten years old at Disneyland. I will definitely go for a ride on it when the Fantasyland expansion is complete.
I can’t think of rides that have changed or are no longer at the theme parks. As much as I love everything Disney I live too far away to go to Disneyland or Disney World very often.
See you next week.

Since I’ve only been to WDW 2 times I really can’t answer the question. I do think that the Dumbo ride and the Tea Cups are rides that everyone can recognize as classic Disney. I kinda feel sad it’s going away. Anyway Thanks for sharing.

Ah Dumbo. I only got to ride it once.
It’s someone you just have to do, even if it’s only once.
There are so many rides that no longer esists that I miss, but the one that always comes to mind first is Horizons. I loved that ride. There is a small group of programmers trying to digitally reproduce the ride, and it’s coming along. I’m enjoying watching their progress.

I think you may need to download Unity to view it, but it’s safe.
They also have a facebook page.

There are a few attractions that I really miss. Top picks are Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, Horizons and the original Journey Into Imagination. Thankfully there are still videos of the attractions out there on the interwebs so we can go back to visit them from time to time 🙂
