    Hey everyone,

On this week’s show we have a what we thought was a rare treat. We popped into the Hall of Presidents one day, just because Andrew had not seen it. We were surprised to find out that there were no video restrictions. In the past the cast member had said no video recording, this day it was simply no flash photography or external video lighting. So, we were very happy to be able to film this for you.

Hope you enjoy this week’s show! Check out the blog at http://rickstravelblog.com

    Hi Rick,
This attraction is one of my very favorites and watching this at home I still
got tears just like when I’m at DW and attend this show. I love History and did you know that the newspapers back then didn’t think much of Lincoln’s famous speech?

My favorite historical person would be Harriet Tubman;she was a couragenous
woman who helped free countless slaves through the Underground RR.

    Great show Rick!
    I love this attraction!
While I don’t go on every trip, it’s one you have to go back and enjoy on occasion, especially when a new President is added. I also love the addition of Morgan Freeman’s narration. He fits perfectly.

My favorite historical figure is Ulysses S. Grant. A serious flawed human being who found himself in a unique position where he (and only he) was the right man, for the right job, at the right time, to bring the Civil War to an end.
He certainly wasn’t an exceptional President. But as a General, no one could match him.

    Hey Rick
We never been on the Hall of Presidents. We heard numerious comments that it is very boring. From watching your video, it dosen’t look boring. It looks like a very informal show. I really don’t have a favorite historical figue. I think they all played a role in US History.

    Hey Rick,

I loved seeing this video. It really touched me. I will look forward to seeing this again the next time I am at WDW. My favorite historical figure: I have three of them. George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and Ronald Reagan.

    See you next week,

    Bob

Great show and thanks again for sharing. My favorite historical person is Thomas Jonathan Jackson better known as Stonewall Jackson. the reason for this one person being my favorite is he had to struggle all his life to achieve his greatness in history.he worked hard to get his education Just like Lincoln. He was a great leader of men but as with all great men his time here was very short.
thank you and see you next week

Great video I enjoyed it very much. I am still waiting for the first women to be on that stage, that will be an exciting event. I have no favorite person in history. I spend about 6 hours a day doing Genealogy research so there is so much to learn about the struggles of our ancestors, it is amazing what they overcame.
    Thanks,
    Penny

I am so happy to see this attraction video, because I kept missing it for years. It’s also a great place to relax and get out of the heat. 🙂
Favorite historical person…ah too many. But since all those wonderful suffragettes helped make women voting a reality, I’m hoping one day soon there will be a woman president.

  13. I’m so glad you captured this Rick. I’ve yet to see the new AA of President Obama in person myself.

If you allow me a bit of cross promotion, for all your readers/watchers, I’ve posted a binaural recording on my podcast site of this very attraction, just one president ago. If anyone wants to listen, just go here: http://www.wdw-memories.net/2009/11/memory-034-hall-of-presidents.html

In any case Rick, I love your show and have been enjoying them for quite a while.
