Great video! Everyone needs to check out the Disney Driven Life!

OK…favorite place to get a snack. I was going to say Aloha Aisle b/c I do love Dole Whip. But I think my favorite place is Boulangerie Patisserie in France. I love the cheese plate – it’s enough to share. And there are so many other choices too!

Hi Rick , I’m Tommy from So Calif. Have enjoyed all of your videos since my friend Amanda Tinney turned me onto you this year. I havent had the pleasure of doing WDW yet but we are fixtures here at Disneyland. Just enjoyed your video and being introduced to J.L. Knopp. I think all of us fit her description of the Disney driven life. Like you She brought it to my attention and I hadnt really considered oh much so before. There no place in my day that isnt influenced somehow by something Disney. I am at this moment watching CARS for the ” I dont even want to think about it ” time with my 3 yo son. Thanks for sharring Walt Disney World with those of us yet to visit. When I finally make it I know it will be almost like home with all I have learned from both Amanda and you.
To answer J.L. Knopps question of the day . My absoluet favorite snack of all at Disneyland is at the Enchanted Tiki Room. Everyone loves the DOLE whip as do I but even better is the big juicy fresh pineapple spears, they are so sweet, de;licious and refreshing on a warm day at my favorite Disney attraction .
Have a magical day! , Tommy

Every I go to Disneyland I have to go to get a Pineapple Spear. My last trip to WDW when I rode the Monorail I wore a t shirt that had a line from The Lion King. The line was “It wasn’t Me!” The fun thing was hearing all the guesses.

  4. This is NDM#175 and my favorite place to get a snack on Walt Disney World property would have to be at the Pop Century Classic Hall Food Court and the snack is called Twinkie Tiramisu. And yes…it’s tiramisu made with Twinkies instead of Lady Fingers…lip smackin’ good.

Great a new label for me Nurotic. Excuse the spelling. Ok favorite snack, wow all the resort food courts have amazing snacks but we always have to get a Mickey Rice Crispy Treat. I know it’s not the healthiest but it is a great snack. As always Rick thanks for the video, always informative and ever expanding our world of friends into the Disney Parks.

WOW, I’ve always called myself a Disney-a-holic, but I really like the classification of NeuroticDisneyMom. Rick great video as always, love all the new things you show us. As for the question, best never miss snack, Ice cream by the tea party. best healthy is the prezels in germany, of course have to have a bier as well, not so healthy but very refreshing on a hot day. Take care and keep blogging.

Thanks Rick, another great show, and another great nook/cranny within Disney World. I always look forward to seeing where your interview will be taking place each week.
My favorite snack within WDW has got to be the various pastry delights served at the snack shop within the Norway pavilion at Epcot
We pretty much always do 2 sitdown restaurants when we visit Epcot. One for lunch around noon, and another dinner around 7PM.
We make sure to pass through Norway around 4PM to grab a snack to tide us over in between. It’s usually pretty quick, and the shaded eating area is a great place to rest and munch for 15 minutes or so.

Thanks Rick and J.L. from NDM #156!
My favorite snack would be a soft pretzel with cheese and a frozen drink from the cart between Journey Into Imagination With Figment and The Land in Epcot. We usually find a bench and enjoy our snack while watching the people and the monorail go by.

    Great show Rick!
Enjoyed listening to JL and her 7 must do rules, but I think there should be an 8th one. In my family it’s required that if you spot a hidden Mickey, either in a Disney Park or anywhere you are at home, at a restaraunt,a grocery store, or anywhere else, you must point it out to all those around you and SHOUT out loud..’HEY LOOK…A HIDDEN MICKEY!”
Favorite Disney Snack is The Strawberry Oolong Tea Slushie at the Kiosk right in front of the China Pavillion at Epcot’s World Showcase.

    Hi Rick and Welcome JL,
I enjoyed this week’s video and I will be checking out JL’s blog and site.
If I have a snack ( I’m too busy to stop sometimes), I would get a Dole Whip at the MK and over at Epcot I love the funnel cakes.

My favorite time to get a snack is during the Food and Wine Festival. Last year I got a cup of Beer Cheese Soup in Canada as my afternoon snack.
Talking about naps, I was thinking a good question of the week would be ‘Where in a park is your favorite place to nap?’. I am saving my answer in case someone does ask it someday.

Hi Rick. what a great topic this week. Glad to know I am not the only one who feels like I am a neurotic disneyphile! I love it that I am in great company and look forward to logging on to JL’s site. On to the question:
My fave snack spot has to be the Adventurland Aloha Isle where I just HAVE to have my favorite snack: Dole Whip Float! It’s a must do every time I am in the Magic Kingdom. I have now turned my relatives on to this great treat…..Yep my daughter, husband, mather and father all love it too. Alas my 9 year old grand daughter does not like it (not yet) she is not a fan of the pineapple due to its tartness.

We also enjoy tasties at Patissiere in France at EPCOT World Showcase.
Look forward to seeing the next installment of Travel With Rick next week!
Keep the good times rolling Rick and Thanks again for providing us with the chance to experience Disney between visits.

Another great video with another great guest! Loved hearing the Sacred Seven.

I’m not much of a snack person; any time spent snacking is time lost on the next ride. I usually tell my stomach to be patient until meal time.

Hi Linda! I love seeing my NDPs turn out! 🙂

Cathy, thank you so much for the welcome.

Carrie, you are right. I should have asked that nap question. If I ever do another episode with Rick, I’ll be sure to ask that. 😉

James, I like your style. Were it not for dropping blood sugar levels, I’d forsake snacking too.

HI Rick and JL–Another great video

Had to laugh at the 7 MUST dos–had them except the MUST RIDE all rides-gonna have to get into that one SLOWLY (chicken here lol)
One of our fav things to do is just take the monorail around the loop, to relax—its a MUST do at least everyday we go!!! When my son was younger he named my Van the MOM-O-Rail cause it was always in motion taking him and friends somewhere—WE do live the DISNEY LIFE and love it!!!! I am a counted NDM and proud of it ºoº
Favorite snack–JUST ONE LOL–well I HAVE to have a Kaki Gori (hope thats right spelling) EVERY TRIP–so would have pick that one…
JL so nice to “MEET” #1 NDM and RICK thanks for another great one!

Well, can’t do some of the 7 anymore. Getting too old and feeble. But sure do what I can when we do get there. Miss the monorail ride, but the ramps are beyond me. Even if I get to the point where I can’t do any of the rides, just going to Disney and taking the scooter out in the park gives such pleasure. Watching street people, parades, fireworks and the scenery are well worth going.
Snacks are avoided for the most part. A nice diet drink sipped while people watching serves the purpose.

    Hello again, fellow commenters.
I am thrilled to learn I am not the only obsessive Disney fan! I will be sure to visit the DisneyDrivenLife.com to find my long lost Disney clans people.

Snack? I don’t even know if I eat when I’m in DisneyWorld. There are too many things to see, do, and ride to take time for eating. Sleeping is forced on me because the parks do close and I am usually beyond exhausted at the end of the day, but pleasantly so.

I enjoyed this interview, although it would have been better if there were a hidden Mickey or some Disney sound track in the background. 😉

Thanks Rick and JL. I will certainly check out the Disney Driven Life after I finish this post. My favorite place to get a snack–the Boulangerie Patisserie at the French Pavillion at Epcot. I love any of the pastries but especially a piece of chocolate cake and a glass of milk. Then I am ready for a nap.

    Thanks,

    Bob

Great video again this week Rick! After listening to JL, I realize I am living the Disney Driven life! Not only must I listen to Disney Music when going thru the gates into WDW, but I take a picture of Mickey on the gate every time and wave hello!

My favorite snack is anything from the pastry shop in France….usually the fruit & cheese plate – so incredible. I don’t usually eat many sweets when in the world – there is too many other things that are good for you to eat. I used to always grab a baked sweet potato in Liberty Square, but didn’t see them on my last visit.

I am like JL and would love to sometime live in Florida and have an annual pass…..that is my retirement plan!

I don’t generally nap when at Disney, but have had some friends just dose off sitting on a bench relaxing.

    Keep up the great work!

Hey Rick. Great show as always. I look forward and always enjoy your weekly videos. Disney Driven Life is now bookmarked on may favorites list. I can’t wait to really check the site out.

My favorite snack is a classic and should also be on JL’S list. It is the Mickey head ice cream bar that can be had at any Disney park. Me and my family love it and couldn’t imagine a trip without it. There’s nothing better on a hot afternoon then a cold, chocolate Mickey ice cream. Anyway, keep up the great work Rick. May all your days be magical.

Oh My Gosh!!! I finally feel like I belong!!! I have always described myself as Disney-aholic but I like NDM much better and will sign up in 5 mins.
My Fav. snack is the Dole Whip. I love to ride over to the Poly on the boat, buy it there (I think you get more!) and eat it by the pool or on the beach. It is a trip/activity all on its own and takes some time. It is perfect to do on a non-park day!
Thank you for such a fun video!!

I love the rules for a WDW vacation. We already do about 60%. I hope to use them to my advantage on our next trip especially the rope drop. It’s been years since I was present for a park opening and to tell the truth I have forgotten how exciting it could be. Thanks for the inspiration and the great video. As usual it is a highlight for me. My favorite snack at WDW is the Mickey shaped ice cream sandwiches but it is a tradition in my family to get a Wetzel pretzel before we leave to go home.

Great video guys. I have to give two options for a favorite snack, a good one and a bad one. For the good one, my family always makes a stop at the little fruit market stand just across the street from the entrance to Fantasmic in Hollywood Studios and pick up a couple pieces of fresh fruit. As for the bad one, I am addicted to the chocolate covered Mickey rice krispy treatments from the confection shop in the Magic Kingdom.

Great video, I didn’t realize how neurotic I was, but what a great thing to be neurotic about, life is great!! Everyday as I take my 4 year old to school we listen to the attraction songs and especially the Welcome Song to MK, it makes my commute to work much better. I can just see myself walking right down the middle of Main Street USA! My favorite snack is the awesome popcorn in each park! Thanks Rick and J.L., we have so many reasons to keep on smiling, it’s fun!

    Hey Rick and JL,

Great Show! We love all the snacks at WDW.

Now my son and I have turned to the Fear Factor side in Japan at Epcot. They have various little snack items in one of the shops. We pick up a different bag and without read the main ingredient, we eat it. Have had the Chili pepper Lollipops, Wasabi Peas, and candied cuttle fish and a few others. They are truly different if you don’t know what you’re eating. But it adds to the fun at WDW for us. We even enjoy it when the rest of the family tries it.

Thanks again for a great video.

Running a little behind, but just loved the show. A favorite treat for our family is the stawberry shortcake at the Hoop Dee Doo Review. It is always wonderful and tops off a tremendous evening.
