Malt vinegar is great – but it makes the fried batter gummy, don’t you think?

I’ve only had the Fish & Chips inside Rose & Crown, but it looks like you get a lot more at Yorkshire. I definitely must try this next time! I’ve love them with malt vinegar!

Those seagulls in the background were cracking me up!! ๐Ÿ™‚

    Hey Sarah!

I’ve only eaten at Rose & Crown once, and I had the Bangers and Mash, not F & C, should try it in there too I guess?

The birds were pretty aggressive that day, they almost stole the show!

    See you real soon!

Yummy, I like a combination of condiments, Malt vinegar and tarter sauce. I have a question, actually I have 2. Is the fish and chips fried right there in front of you and is the fish cod?
    Thanks for Sharing

    Hey Penny,

The fish is fried right there in the kiosk, you can see them when you order at the counter, they’re back there with big fryers frying up that delicious fish!

Not sure, but I think the fish is cod.

    See you next week!

My wife and I have it the traditional British way, malt vinegar and a little salt. It’s awesome! Now I’m craving some.

I actually don’t like fish so I don’t use any condiments. lol
My husband wants to try them some day and he would use tartar for the fish and vinegar for the fries.

    Hey Carrie,

Sorry you don’t care for the fish, you know my daughter is the same way, doesn’t eat any fish, and she’s lived in Florida all her life. But she does eat sushi though, so I don’t really understand that ๐Ÿ˜‰

Best fish and chips on property in my opinion. They need a bigger seating area though. These fish and chips are so good that my wife and I try and get them every trip. We Love the packets of Tartar sauce but find the chips/fries a little soggy. 50 days and we’ll be there for the food and wine festival and to have some fish and chips! Wooo hoooo! Scยบoยบtt

    Hey Scott,

You’re right, seating is limited, but if you get there at the right time and get a spot down by the WS Lagoon, it’s an awesome experience! Can’t wait for Food & Wine, maybe we’ll see you there!

    Hey Rick and Andrew,

The food looked pretty good. I will have to stop there the next time I am at Epcot. I usually have Tarter Sauce with Fish & Chips. But I also like Ranch Dressing and Fry Sauce. Also, I like fresh squeezed lemon juice with any seafood.

    See you next week.

I always like trying a variety of foods at Epcot and the fish & chips is a favorite, I generally do not add salt to many foods but f&c always are best with lots of malt vinigar and salt. Also a pint of Bass (or black & Tan) or Boddingtons is a necessary pairing.

  17. This is one of the best snacks in Epcot. But you’ve got to catch it early or you’ll be standing in line for a while. Sometimes there’s even a line forming 30 minutes before they open!

When I had the fish and chips about 10 or so years ago they were from a little stand outside The Rose and Crown. So yummy! I like dipping the fish and the chips in malt vinegar, that way they stay crisp. Ugh I’m drooling thinking about them now. I do like tartar sauce too.
Those birds got pretty roudy. LOL
